Health promotion project

The first phase of the project took place in2016. We focused on the preparation of motivation programs, methodologies, educational and health education materials and the implementation of workshops for pupils, teachers and staff of school canteens and parents' discussions. The Fans of Health program was established and tested at 16 pilot primary schools in three regions in the school year 2016/2017.

Co jsme dokázali:

The project Fans of Health is well accepted by the founders and leaders of pilot primary schools, educators, pupils and their parents. Unlike originally expected participation of 2,400 students in 15 schools, it is nearly triple number of students, a total of 8 259 in 16 pilot schools. A total of 495 teachers and 104 educators are engaged at pilot schools together with 138 employees in their canteens. Approximately 12,000 parents are involved in the pilot schools. The parents' talks that we have conducted beyond the original assignment were attended by about 400 parents.

What was the goal of working with a client?

The project "Fans of Health", realized for the company Vím, co jím a piju o.p.s. in 2016 and 2017, was aimed at improving and recovering the environment of elementary schools with an emphasis on nutrition and inclusion of physical activities in the school environment. The main target group consists of elementary school pupils, their parents and school staff (educators, educators and school canteen staff). Our main tasks include the creation of a motivation program, the creation of methodologies and educational materials for pedagogical and non-pedagogical staff of schools, the education of pupils and school staff and the verification of methodology at pilot schools.

„We have been cooperating with Focus Agency for a long time and we have also chosen it for our new project to promote a healthy lifestyle for primary school pupils. Focus has ensured complete implementation of the project, from choosing its name through the preparation of all related methodologies and materials and production of video spots to the realization of workshops for educators, pupils and their parents. The ongoing results of the two-year project far exceed the planned range.“

During the realization...

Within the project, we have defined six priority groups: school leaders, teachers, educators in after-school care, management and school canteen staff, pupils and parents. In each group, we tackle the overall concept of supporting health, physical activity and environment. We created video spots on nutrition, activity and energy balance, posters, leaflets and other materials for schools, parents and pupils, sample recipes for school canteens, worksheets for teaching. In 2016, a total of 16 workshops were held with nutrition consultants and professional chefs for elementary school staff aimed at enhancing the professionalism, nutrition literacy and motivation of school staff.
